How much am I raising each time I visit?
It varies - a lot! Anything from a few pence to £50. If it's on givabit you can be certain that its raising money, 100% of which is donated to UNICEF UK.

Why don't you have a search plug-in for my browser search bar?
It wouldn't be that hard to put together a plug-in (even for us!) However, you wouldn't be able to view any adverts with a plug-in and so we wouldn't raise any money. Setting givabit as your homepage or as one of your favourites means it's just one click away whenever you need to search, or shop for that matter.

Who are you and why are you doing this?
Just a small group of people who felt like giving it a go. Sadly for us, we know very little about websites and due to jobs etc. can only do this in our spare time. Thousands of people volunteer for charities every day and giving people an additional way to raise money for a good cause is no different. It's taken a lot of work so far but if a website that costs £60 to host can go onto raise £100, £1000 or maybe even more, it'll all be worthwhile and something we'd be immensely proud of!

Why can't I choose a charity?
We've chosen to support just one charity in our first year to help keep things as simple as possible and to see if the idea works. It also means it costs a lot less to run the site meaning we can fulfil our promise to give everything we raise for charity, to charity. The work done by UNICEF is absolutely brilliant and by giving them more, we’re helping them to make more of a difference.

Why is your website so terrible?
Terrible is a bit strong but we will admit it's not great. We're all pretty new to this web design business and so the site's limited to basic html. We are doing our homework though so we can keep making givabit better.

Why do the percentages in the shop vary?
The commission we raise from sales in the shop varies depending on how much we've sold and what product you're buying.

How do you choose your online retailers?
We choose the online retailers in our shop section based on three main criteria; quality of service, value for money, and amount of commission.
